Beach Mass 2013 St. Maximilian Kolbe Feast Day

Feast Celebration Location Change

For this year’s Feast Celebration on Thursday, August 14, we’re all heading down South!! One block South of where we were last year. New Location is WILLARD AVENUE and the BEACH in Strathmere.

What time should I be there?   Entertainment will begin at 5pm. In light of limited parking, we encourage you to be there early.

What do I bring? Desserts! Anything that can be handled as finger food. Also, bring your beach chair and sunblock. The parish is supplying the food, gifts and entertainment.

Does this fulfill our obligation for the Feast of the Assumption Holy Day? Yes, and in addition, for those who cannot attend the Mass on the beach, there will be Masses celebrated at 7pm at both Saint Casimir Church and the Church of the Resurrection, also on Thursday evening, August 14th.

Speaking of parking, where can I park? Wherever you can find a spot legally on the streets, which might be tight. We are grateful for the assistance of so many from our own Knights of Columbus, the New Jersey State Po- lice and the Strathmere Volunteer Fire Department who will ensure a good flow of traffic. I encourage people to plan among themselves to meet at the parking lots at Saint Casimir Church and the Church of the Resurrection, perhaps around 5pm and coordinate traveling together to the celebration.

What happens if it rains? Mass will be celebrated at the Church of the Resurrection in Marmora at 6pm with festivities to follow.

What is the latest date for turning in the 50/50 RAFFLE PACKAGES? The latest date to return raffle packages is August 9/10. If you do not have your packages with you this weekend, please bring them to the office tomorrow, Monday August 11.
