January 28, 2018 – A View from the Rectory Window

“I think this is truly the most wonderful experience we can have; to belong to a people walking, journeying through history together with our Lord who walks among us.” – Pope Francis

Throughout the Gospels, we often find Jesus walking.  As He travels, He teaches, gathers followers, and welcomes the outcast.  The theme for this year’s House of Charity – Bishop’s Annual Appeal, Walk with Me, communicates the very mission of the House of Charity.

Your generosity to our parish family and the recent capital campaign has been overwhelming.  At the same time, as Catholics we are encouraged to answer the call to help our sisters and brothers beyond our parish boundaries.  This appeal provides for programs and ministries that serve those in South Jersey who struggle physically, financially, emotionally, and spiritually.   I ask that you prayerfully consider a 2018 gift to the House of Charity – Bishop’s Annual Appeal.   I am very grateful for your constant generosity to our parish family and for your consideration of my request.

Save the Date: I invite all our parishioners to join in the celebration of the Feast of Saint Casimir on Sunday, March 4 at an 11am Mass at Saint Casimir Church, Woodbine.  Following Mass, we are planning to gather for food, entertainment and fellowship.

To prepare for this wonderful celebration I ask you to attend a planning meeting on Wednesday, February 7 at 7:00pm at Saint Casimir Church.  The meeting will take place in the lower level of the Church of Saint Casimir to discuss ideas on how to make this another memorable event in the life of our parish family.
