January 4, 2015 A View from the Rectory Window

+Resolutions

As we retold the story of Christmas we recalled that for the Holy Family, “there was no room at the inn . . .” You may have noticed this past Christmas that in our parish churches there was no parking to be
found or seating to be had at Christmas Mass [Day 1?].

The Sunday after Christmas . . . there were some openings [Day 2?].

At the beginning of this New Year, I ask for you and those you love the blessing that the Lord commanded His priest Aaron to bestow upon His people: “Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, ‘Thus you shall bless the sons of Israel. You shall say to them:

The LORD bless you, and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine on you,
And be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance on you,
And give you peace.”

Amen and a Blessed New Year.
